The future campus plays a key role in the revamping of the SIAAP (Syndicat interdépartemental pour l’assainissement de l’agglomération parisienne) waste treatment centre. Its ideal position, situated between two waste water treatment plants, is comparable to that of a contemporary “fortress”, clearly marked out by a geometric boundary.

The equally geometric volumes, surrounding a garden, contribute a strong and unifying urban image at the heart of a complex of interlinked functions (laboratories, maintenance workshops, offices, staff canteen, etc.). There is great freedom of organisation, living space and social contact, making it an effective tool for the operation of a major industrial site.
